What's Beyond the Story of Me?

Many people hear talk of the ego being an illusion and feel threatened.  They think you're trying to pull the rug right out from under them.  And in these turbulent times where so much is in flux, this is not a piece of news people are always ready to receive.  When we've been living our entire lives in that "story of me" we fear there's nothing else.

It's just the opposite.  Beyond the story of me lies the innate mystery of life.

Our sense of being a separate individual is a gift.  It gives us license to create something dynamic from our experience that radiates our essence.  But as the fabric of our modern reality continues to fray and society's systems look more and more flimsy,  I believe this is a realization that more of us are going to find our way into whether we want to or not.

“The present convergence of crises––in money, energy, education, health, water, soil, climate, politics, the environment, and more––is a birth crisis, expelling us from the old world into a new.”
