Poison what?

they say society poisons us

that culture brainwashes us 

 

i nod.  agree.  

and then wonder:

what holds the poison?

what absorbs the condition? 

 

most of us stop at the mind

we say

it's all in our heads

and assume that’s the last of it

that there's nothing more to be done about it.

and in a way that's true.  there is nothing to be done.  

​

what we must discover is the depth of pure being hidden underneath the mind's noise.  the way through these tumultuous times is by regaining our own sanity.
